SEHIKYO is a project for fashion research and practice by Seohee Kim, based in Seoul, Korea. The project explores the visual metaphors that clothes provide through the making and wearing clothes. Seohee Kim creates clothing using materials that convey traces of use and focuses on the materiality of clothing through combinations of materials and craft techniques in DIY practice such as hand knitting and sewing. This do-it-yourself approach leads to spontaneous questioning and exploration of the personal and social meaning of how clothes reveal the body based on diverse concepts intertwined between clothes and fashion. Ultimately, SEHIKYO aims to share the idea of wearing and creating clothes through collaboration with wearers and encourage various perspectives of fashion, seeking to explore the role of clothing in the fashion industry by continuously questioning the dominant consumer culture surrounding clothing.

Seohee Kim is a fashion researcher and practitioner who received her Bachelor of Arts in Fashion Design Womenswear from the London College of Fashion in 2016. She also completed her Master of Arts in Fashion Design Womenswear from the Royal College of Art (RCA), London in 2018.
