The skirt, 2020

The project titled 'The Skirt' is an intriguing experiment that challenges the wearer to exclusively don the 'Skirt' within a specially designed space. In this unique environment, where garments of various shapes and forms abound, the wearer aims to redefine the concept of 'Wearing a Skirt' by creatively reassembling clothing through techniques such as tying, covering, and combining. Seohee Kim has created a room that partially separates the wearer from the outside world, drawing inspiration from the historical significance of the skirt as one of the earliest forms of attire that demarcated personal space.
