T-shirt/sweats edition, 2022
The t-shirt/sweatshirt project introduces the practice of Sehikyo. Each garment is crafted using materials that were discarded in the production process of the massive fashion industry and produced in limited quantities. The logotype featured on the t-shirt/sweatshirt was designed by Minjong Kim, a type designer currently based in Lausanne, Switzerland. The Sehikyo logotype, which was designed in 2019, draws inspiration from the corporate identity of a sewing machine company and has been reworked to evoke an atmosphere of the fashion production industry. The edition presents a contrast between the industrial-inspired logotype and the slow production method employed in creating the garments.
